Case study
SalimTix
Event ticketing and stall booking for Nigerian events, rebuilt around one idea: the site itself is a ticket stub.

Context
The old SalimTix interface looked like generic AI output: purple gradients, three cards, nothing that belonged to ticketing. It sold tickets for carnivals, trade fairs, campus fests, and live shows, with NGN checkout and an organizer dashboard, but the design said nothing about any of that.

Idea
Rebuild the front end around a single idea: the site itself is a ticket stub. Warm paper surfaces, ink type, one flat vermillion accent, no gradients. Condensed poster type. A perforated divider and QR stub in the hero. The logo became "The Punch": an ink tile with a ticket notch bitten from its edge.

Gate anti-pass-back
Every pass carries a gate state: valid, inside, exited, inside. Scanning a pass that is already inside flags it red as a possible shared ticket. A dedicated exit scan marks passes exited, and exiting a pass that is not inside is rejected. Each pass gets a short 6-character ticket code, and the organizer dashboard shows live counts with an "N inside now" header plus CSV export.
04
QR pass PDFs
The downloadable passes mirror the on-screen ticket stub exactly: paper card, ink border, perforation with edge notches, centered ticket number, QR band, and status stamp. Generated two ways, from the buyer Orders page and from the pass page itself.
05
Outcome
Shipped to production in September 2026. Every buyer, organizer, and vendor flow was tested end to end before launch, and the redesign, the gate state machine, and the pass PDFs all went live together.
